Quarry Sand For Concrete

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF RIVER SAND, M-SAND

The Quarry dust can be fully or partly used in place of river sand. If sand is partially or completely replaced with or without concrete admixtures, a comparatively good strength is expected. It is proposed to explore the ability to replace sand with local crusher waste without sacrificing concrete strength and workability. It is noteworthy mentioning that deployment of quarry dust in cement-sand masonry block production offers social benefits too. The proposed cement-sand masonry blocks exhibited better strength and durability characteristics with lower production cost than other competing alternatives.Quarry dust as river sand replacement in cement masonry

Effect of quarry rock dust on the flexural strength of concrete

Previous studies have shown that replacing sand with quarry rock dust produces concrete with about 8–20% increases in strength. The use of quarry dust as replacement for sand in concrete has been extensively researched in recent years. This paper deals with the effect of characteristics of sand concrete using quarry sand. Three specimens were produced of quarry sand with a ratio of 40%, 50% and 60%, respectively.(PDF) Characteristics of sand concrete using quarry sand
